⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (6.7/5 stars)
Welcome to Who-ville. We saw Dr. Seuss’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” at the Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis, and it was awesome.
The show made us feel like we were in Whoville. The sets were huge and colorful, the costumes were super fun (we kind of wanted to wear them ourselves), and the music made us want to jump out of our seats and dance along.
The best part? The Grinch, played by Reed Sigmund, came into the audience. He snuck right up to people, including a little girl who looked about 6. It was funny because you never knew what he’d do next. He was tricky, silly, and a little bit scary in the best way.
He even told a “6-7” joke, and everyone cracked up.
Those unscripted audience moments made the show feel alive, like anything could happen.
The Grinch was grumpy, sneaky, and hilarious, while the Whos were so kind and full of heart.
We loved how the story reminded us that Christmas isn’t about stuff. It’s about caring, sharing, and maybe giving a cookie or two to a grinchy green guy.
The songs were super catchy, and the dancing was amazing. We almost tried to sneak on stage ourselves, but the Grinch probably would’ve spotted us.
This show, directed by CTC Acting Company member Dean Holt, is perfect for kids, teens, and anyone who wants to feel the magic of Whoville. Laughs, music, and holiday cheer everywhere. It’s like Christmas exploded in the best way.
We give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (6.7/5 stars). Don’t miss it, or the Grinch might sneak off with your holiday spirit.
